BigbyxReader- Cry Wolf Part1

A rough pair of hands slammed you into the side of a building, suspending you in the air just a few inches above the ground. "Don't struggle and this won't be so bad" he hissed in your ear. The warmth of his breath made you cringe, there was no way you would give in

"Help!" You cried out and kicked against him, only to be met with a hand over your mouth.

"I told you not to struggle" his voice was more threatening this time, you knew this was going to be bad. He pulled you from the wall, then smacked your body back into it like a rag doll. Your head hit the bricks with a sickening smack and you saw stars

"No..." You didn't have it in you to fight anymore and you could feel him tugging at your clothes. The best you could do was wait for this to be over with, it was done now. But, to your surprised, the hands were removed from you. You fell to the ground in a heap of limbs.

"Oof-!" You could hear someone hitting the concrete, then punches, lots of them, maybe too much. You couldn't tell who was being hit- your savior or attacker, you of course hoped the latter. "Hey man- she was asking for it!" Another punch much louder than the others. Then silence.

"...ugh" footsteps approached you and you feared the worst. It was time to resume your nightmare.

"Are you okay miss?" A gruff voice asked you, prompting your head to turn in its direction.

"I'm...I'm fine" you were still having a hard time gathering your thoughts, but your vision was already clearing. Above you was a sort of mean looking man. He stared down at you with hard eyes, but you could tell there was kindness buried deep beneath. His hair was auburn and pushed back from his face, a few pieces had fallen out of alignment in the tussle, framing his chiseled face. It was then that you remembered him

"Let me help you up" a strong hand reached out to you.

"Thank you" you took it gratefully, feeling that his hand was even bigger than you thought now that your small one was encased in it.

"Woah" he had to steady you once you got to your feet, putting one arm around your back so you wouldn't tumble back down "can you tell me what happened?"

"That man... He was going to rape me" looking back, you could see his body on the ground, definitely knocked out cold "did you do that?" Your eyebrows dipped up

"...yeah" he slowly let go of your once you could stand, feeling like you were afraid of him now

"...thank you for protecting me" a smile graced your lips, a genuine one. He had saved you.

"...I'm just doing my job" he returned the smile, elated that you didn't seem scared. "What's your name?"

"...you don't remember me?"

"Uh" oh shit, now he was embarrassed "no... I'm sorry, there's just so many fables around here to take care of... Names are difficult sometimes"

"Does this help?" You lifted the hood of your red sweatshirt and placed it over your head, looking up at him in anticipation. He had to remember you, he just had to. Granted, you had done quite a bit of growing up since the last time you crossed paths.

"...Red?" He couldn't believe it, the famous Little Red Riding Hood was standing right in from of him "it's been ages"

"I know... Hi Bigby" your smile curved into a grin, elated to see someone you knew.

"Hey [Name]" Bigby called you by your real name, not the nickname your choice of dress had earned you. He wasn't sure what else to say, the last time he had seen you... You were kind of in his stomach. And regrettably, you tasted great. "You look well" he commented awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.

"Enough to eat?" You couldn't help but tease him, watching as his shoulders stiffened and his face fell. He obviously didn't think it was very funny "hey, I'm kidding" you rested a dainty hand on his shoulder "that was a long time ago, things were different... Plus you got your stomach cut open, I'm pretty sure we're even"

"...I'm really sorry" he just had to apologize. For tricking her, for eating her grandmother, then swallowing her too. He was so ashamed of who he used to be, he was trying to hard to rectify himself.

"It's fine Bigby!" You insisted "...plus, I've heard plenty of things about the great man you've become... You just rescued me, I think that proves it"

If he had a tail, it'd be wagging out of control right then. You thought he was a great man? He couldn't have been more flattered "thanks Red" he took a moment to look you over, amazed at how much you'd grown since the last time he saw you. You couldn't have been more than 9 back then and now you looked like you were in your 20's. And damn if you weren't pretty. Your [H/C] hair was shiny and smooth, even after being attacked, and your eyes were wide and bright. Not to mention your body, it... Well, it looked like a woman's- with soft curves in all the right places. He cleared his throat and made himself look away, realizing he was staring just a little too long. "Where were you going?"

"To the Woodlands, I just bought an apartment there and I was going to check it out" you answered, clasping your hands in front of yourself. You had to admit, he was extremely handsome as a man, with hard features and piercing eyes. It made an almost invisible blush rise in your face.

"The woodlands? How'd you afford an apartment there?" He didn't mean to sound rude, but he couldn't imagine a young girl like you had such a high paying job.

"Granny just passed and her inheritance was way more than I had expected... She had a few secrets" you answered with a little laugh

"Oh shit, I'm sorry" now he felt like an ass

"Don't be, I had a lot of good years with her..." You kicked at something nonexistent. "Anyway, thanks for saving me Bigby. I would have been in a lot of trouble if you didn't show up"

"Of course [Name], it's my job... How about I walk you to the Woodlands? I'm heading there anyway and it's really not safe for you to be wandering like this" he offered, eager to spend more time with you.

"Sure, I'd really appreciate that..." You smiled brightly up at him "...you really are a good man Bigby... Not so big and bad anymore"

"...I try" he followed after you
